This Privacy Policy explains how vRandom ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit vrandom.net (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
The short version: there are no accounts and we don't ask for your name, email, or any personal details. Every generator and tool runs entirely in your browser, so whatever you type into them stays on your device. The one meaningful thing we collect is anonymous, aggregate traffic data through Google Analytics, so we can see roughly how many people visit and which pages are popular.
What we don't collect
We don't operate accounts, logins, newsletters, or checkout of any kind, so we don't gather names, addresses, passwords, or payment details. We don't sell or rent any information about you. The Site is a static website — there is no application server on our side receiving or storing what you do with the tools.
The tools run in your browser
All of the generators, pickers, and games run locally in your browser using your device's built-in randomness. Anything you enter — for example, a list of options you paste into the Random Picker, or a password you generate — is processed on your device and is never transmitted to us or saved on our servers.
Local storage on your device
The home-page button keeps a small "already seen" record in your browser's local storage so it can avoid showing you the same item twice. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and can be cleared anytime by clearing your browser's site data.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, non-identifying trends such as visitor numbers and popular pages. To do this, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects standard technical information — including your approximate location (derived from your IP address), your device and browser type, and the pages you view. This information is processed by Google on our behalf; we use it only in aggregate and do not use it to identify you personally.
You can learn how Google handles this data in Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services. To opt out of Google Analytics entirely, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on, block cookies in your browser, or use your browser's tracking-protection features.
Cookies
The only cookies the Site sets are those used by Google Analytics, described above. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; blocking analytics cookies won't stop the tools from working. If you are in a region that requires consent for non-essential cookies (such as the EEA or UK), you can control them through your browser, and we will honor consent requirements where they apply.
Hosting
The Site is delivered by a third-party hosting and content-delivery provider. Like all web hosts, it may automatically process standard request information (such as IP addresses) for the purposes of serving the Site and protecting it against abuse and attacks. This is a normal part of how any website reaches you.
Third-party tools and content
A few "discovery" tools load content from outside services only when you choose to use them — for example, a random encyclopedia summary, an internet-radio directory, a web-archive snapshot, or an embedded live video. When you use one of those specific tools, your browser makes a request to that third party, whose own privacy policy then governs that interaction. We don't control those services.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing (for example, under the GDPR or the CCPA). Because we don't maintain accounts or directly collect identifying information, the data we hold about any specific individual is minimal, but you can contact us with any request and we'll respond as required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
